Students enrolled in Columbia master’s and doctoral programs in the Arts and Sciences have access to the job and internship database LionSHARE, which is managed by the Center for Career Education (CCE). However, for all other career development services, including On-Campus Interview (OCI) opportunities with select employers, GSAS students are now served by GSAS Compass, a new office that offers a variety of career development services and tailored programming.
As we transition career services from CCE to Compass, GSAS students will retain access to LionSHARE for the 2020-2021 academic year. In Spring 2021, Compass will launch our own job and internship database on the platform GSAS Connect.

Who manages LionSHARE?
The Center for Career Education (CCE) manages LionSHARE, which is run on the platform Handshake.
Why am I unable to access positions at companies that are recruiting on campus through LionSHARE?
On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) opportunities offered in LionSHARE are open only to undergraduates (sophomores, juniors, and seniors), with the exception of some technical positions that are open to engineering graduate students.
How do I apply for jobs at companies that do on-campus interviews at Columbia? Will applying through another channel put me at a disadvantage?
If you are interested in applying for a position that recruits on campus, either find the position on LinkedIn and submit your application, or go directly to the company’s website and apply through their career portal. If you follow these steps and are not able to apply, please email a detailed explanation of the issue to gsas-compass [at] columbia.edu for assistance.
Applying via LinkedIn, the company’s website, or another means will not put you at a disadvantage.
When will I lose access to LionSHARE? What will happen to my profile?
GSAS students and alumni will have access to LionSHARE until June 30, 2021. At that time, your profile will be removed from the platform. You will receive instructions in advance of this change on how to download documents or other information on the platform.
What is replacing LionSHARE?
We are replacing LionSHARE with a job and internship database embedded in GSAS Connect, a new portal that will be your hub for career development. The platform will be targeted to graduate students and alumni, and tailored to your skills, experience, and educational attainment. We will launch different parts of the GSAS Connect portal over the course of the 2020-2021 academic year, and the job and internship database will be announced in Spring 2021.
