- The Bancroft Award and Baron Prize recognize excellence in dissertations that have been successfully defended. There is no application procedure for students; nominations are made by faculty.
- The GSAS International Travel Fellowship provides funding for international travel that is necessary for the completion of the dissertation.
- The Lindt and Zuckerman Fellowships enable recipients to complete the writing of their dissertations during the award year.
- The Presidential Teaching Award honors outstanding graduate student teachers. There is no application procedure for students; nominations are made by faculty and undergraduates.
