Announcements

Emergency Text-Messaging Service

Columbia uses a text-messaging service to communicate urgent, university-wide information, such as campus closures and weather emergencies. The mobile phone number you provide will not be shared or used for any other type of communication. You may sign up through Student Services Online (SSOL) following activation of your UNI.

Apartment-Hunting Workshops

Columbia's Off-Campus Housing Assistance (OCHA) office periodically hosts workshops on finding an apartment in New York.

Disability Services

The university's Office of Disability Services (ODS) facilitates equal access for students with disabilities by coordinating reasonable accommodations and support services. Incoming students seeking accommodations should register with ODS as early as possible to become eligible for services. The review of your request may take up to three weeks, followed by an additional two to three weeks to arrange accommodations. If you have questions, the GSAS Office of Student Affairs serves as the Disability Services Liaison for the Graduate School.
